Following the tradition of thermal bath hotels in Abano, Hotel Terme Firenze has its own mud-balneotherapy and inhalations center with a team of highly qualified operators, who work under the supervision of the Health Director.
Thermal mud and baths
The aged mud that is used for your daily sessions is extracted from our basins by hand; therefore, we guarantee greater compactness and plasticity of the mud.
Mud-balneotherapy is used in the treatment and prevention of a wide range of disorders, particularly osteoarthrosis, osteoporosis and other degenerative conditions, extra-articular rheumatism, traumatic injuries and post-fracture conditions, orthopaedic surgery, gout, primary inflammatory and metabolic rheumatism, and PBCO.
The benefits of thermal treatments
A course of thermal treatments based on aged mud and thermal water has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, relaxes the muscles, strengthens the immune system and stimulates and purifies the entire body.
Treatment phases
All mud therapy sessions consist of four fundamental parts:
- application of thermal mud
- shower and bath in thermal water
- sweat reaction (time varies according to personal response to the treatment)
- massage with muscle and connective tissue toning action.
Like all natural treatments, even the mud-balneotherapy sessions are normally carried out every day in the morning, from Monday to Saturday (Sunday excluded), so that the effect of the treatment intensifies day after day.
Inhalation therapies
Our hyperthermal salt-bromine-iodine water is also recommended for treating respiratory problems.
Our inhalation department on the first floor, at the Nilufar SPA, has inhalation and aerosol equipment with thermal water, effective both for treating bronchitis, vasomotor rhinopathy, problems related to the pharynx and larynx, sinusitis syndromes, and as a means of disinfecting and strengthening the upper airways.
Each therapy lasts about 10 minutes.
